KUKLUXSAX
SAXOPHONE ORCHESTRA OF THERMI
The original meaning of “Ku Klux” comes from the Greek word “kyklos” (=circle, assembly).
KuKluxSax consist of a community up to 30 young -in the sense of mood and mentality- volunteers sharing the same passion: saxophone!
However, this golden hornist society aspires to be a “well-tempered out of tune” saxophone orchestra by promoting the art-lover model (amateur) of performer than those of the egocentric professional soloist.
KKS’ rehearsals are concerts themselves: a spontaneous process of creation, entertainment and interaction.
Audience’s applause makes everyone of the participants happier than a child receiving his Christmas gift.
KuKluxSax detest cowls.
Just want to share and enjoy music!
Their intensive musical activity includes -among others- a collaboration with the famous jazz group "Club de Belugas" and a participation at the celebration of the 50 years from the birth of The International Film Festival of Thessaloniki.
Creator/Music coordinator:Theofilos Sotiriades
Under the auspices of
Municipal Conservatory of Thermi
